THE PRELUDE TO NOVEMBER 3rd 2020 ELECTION 

In the weeks before the November 3rd election, Donald Trump and his supporters tried every way they could to deny the vote to those he had repeatedly disparaged and who might vote democratic. He repeatedly claimed mail in voting would be massively fraudulent and appointed one of his wealthy cronies Louis DeJoi as Postmaster General to “reduce costs” by sabotaging the postal system‘s ability to sort, deliver, and collect mail in ballots for the upcoming election. He directed the removal of sorting machines, laid off postal workers, and removed mailboxes from low income neighborhoods. Trump for his part incessantly declared that the election was rife with fraudulent registrations and ineligible people were going to vote by mail. He incited his MAGA followers to stand at polling places to intimidate voters and vote counters and when legally challenged he asked them to “stand back and stand by”. His lawyers posted legal challenges to the validity of the votes in every swing state and when the results did not meet Trump’s demands, Trump’s lawyers filed sixty-one suits challenging the results.
